Carved and gilded wooden candlestick with cherub figure - 18th century. Refined antique candlestick made of carved wood, gilded with gold leaf and hand-decorated, probably dating back to the 18th century. The structure is embellished with the figure of a winged cherub sculpted with great attention to detail, in an elegant and dynamic pose. The cherub supports the upper part of the candlestick, characterized by a top with leaf motifs and a three-footed base richly decorated with floral elements. The gold leaf gilding, although with natural signs of aging, still retains much of its original brightness, giving the object an authentic charm and a valuable patina. The base rests on a red velvet support, which adds further elegance to the piece. Conditions: Good general condition, missing a small curl in the lower right (visible in the photo). The candlestick has been electrified and is therefore functional; it can be completed by adding a lampshade. Ideal as a decorative element in classic settings or as a precious collector's item.
