Half a meter of trade
Half meter bar in walnut wood,
Italy second half of the 19th century.
Antique measuring instrument with brass closure at the ends and
validation stamps for periodic inspection.
As on other measuring instruments used
in commercial establishments involved in the sale of merchandise,
the responsible authority carried out periodic checks
on container scales or measuring instruments in general
to protect buyers from possible scams
perpetrated using counterfeit measuring devices.
To certify that the checks had taken place, stamps were placed on them.
At the ends we also find what, stylized,
appears to be the stamp of the "Kingdom of Italy"
In good condition, does not require restoration
