Scagliola Attributed to Amedeo Seytter - "Temple of Clitunno between Fugl.ni and Spoleti alle Vene"
Trompe-l'oeil scagliola to emulate a breccia top on which a sanguine engraving is placed, the corners folded to increase the effect of illusion. The engraving depicts an ancient temple placed on a high base and with a tetrastyle pronaos framed between two pilasters, surmounted by a tympanum. In the background you can see a series of arches, while in the foreground a watercourse, crossed by a small bridge with arches. At the bottom right there is the inscription that allows to identify the represented site: "Temple of Clitunno between Fugl.ni [Foligno ed] and Spoleti alle Vene".
