Centerpiece in polychrome painted paper, Tuscany, early 19th century Measurements: Cm H 6 x W 122 x D 47 Price: private negotiation object accompanied by a certificate of authenticity This centerpiece, or surtout de table, was made in the early neoclassical period 19th century. The top, under glass, has a fine painting on paper applied on canvas with a geometric decoration in a classical style. Inside ovals there are fan-shaped motifs and in the center, within a lozenge, there are grotesque drawings. The metal edging is chiseled in the corners with leaf decorations. Each sector, three in all, is suspended from the ground by four turned wooden feet.
