Rare display base composed of a cylindrical body in lapis lazuli with alternating natural blue and gray-whitish bands, mounted on a circular base in white marble, presumably Carrara, with a characteristic milky color. The object, probably made between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, was likely intended to support a bronze statuette, a small bust or a table sculpture.
