Antique Caucasian kilim SHIRVAN - n. 696.
Ancient Caucasian polychrome kilim with a prevalence of blue (the photo does not do it justice). It probably dates back to the end of the 19th century and is a bit delicate, also because the black color was often obtained from iron oxide, which then corroded the wool. On the other hand, light blue and blue confirm the dyeing with indigo and give a special light to this kilim. Measure cm. 263 x 207.
