Persian carpet of old manufacture, part of my private collection of GABBEH: carpets knotted by nomads in south-central Iran for the use of their tents, but which have now become famous all over the world. This one has the classic checkered design with stylized images of dogs, birds and everything else that is part of nomadic life. It is a very robust, lively carpet, with a taste I would say "modern" or "naive" in its immediacy. Measure cm. 171 x 106.
