Persian GABBEH carpet of old manufacture, part of a collection. This type of rugs were knotted by the nomads of south-central Iran for the internal use of their nomadic tents. They are now known all over the world and sought after by collection. They are robust and of an almost "modern" taste in their simplicity, especially this one, with soft colors and minute geometric design over the whole field, enclosed in a small black frame.
