Refined Persian Isfahan carpet in special Cork wool knotted on a silk warp. The elaborate and refined design, on a light central background, is highlighted by the light blue frame that encloses it. The composition is the classic one of an oriental carpet; it is not a Nain (more commercial), but much better: an authentic Isfahan from the period of Shah Safavi.
Due to its size, it can be placed anywhere. In Iran, this type of carpet is used on the wall like a painting, especially when it is of this fine execution. nr. 974 - Special price for business closure --------------------------------
