Antique elegant Caucasian GAREBAGH runner, with red "rize mahi" design on a black background. On the top left it bears the date: 1316 (= 1900). The bright red color is given by the dye extracted from the madder root. This rug also deserves to be set in a living room, in front of a bookcase. Measure cm. 549 x 96, it is straight despite its length, perfect. no. inv. 1068
