Antique GASHGAI nomadic saddle - no. 243 - from a private collection
Antique saddle of Persian GASHGAI nomads, possibly dating back to the 1920s. It is the classic rug that nomads put under the leather saddle. This one is antique, probably before the 1920s, so the two side strips that were placed around the horse's neck have been lost. The work is not accurate, so probably done by a young weaver.
I have other complete ones in my collection, to be admired. This one can be used as a rug, or placed on a bench, or hung on the wall as decoration. All my rugs have been thoroughly washed.
Measurements: cm. 152 x 95 . The price is interesting because I would like to close the business.
