Old, polychrome "cicim" rug - n. 1226 -
Bright colors and a strong geometric design are the hallmarks of this beautiful "cicim" rug, hand-woven on a loom by a nomadic weaver: the bright colors are reminiscent of a Ghashgai. (After all, the Ghashagi came from the Caucasus Mountains centuries ago). It was probably the entrance door of a nomadic tent: it has fringe on the bottom. It can be placed anywhere: on the floor or on the wall; it will certainly be the star of the show. Measures cm. 225 x 152.
