Rare Turkish kilim PARDEH - nr. 1035
Rare example of "pardeh" kilim from the area around Sivas. This type of fabric is lighter than a kilim because it was used inside nomadic tents as a tent or household cover and was woven in strips on small looms, easily transportable when traveling through the pastures. It is very rare to find any on the market. This is part of my private collection. It dates back to about 1920 and is dyed with vegetable substances; this has a particular intense turquoise color. Measurements: cm. 313 x 255.
