Rare Turkish PARDEH Kilim - nr. 1035
Rare example of a "pardeh" kilim from the area around Sivas. This type of fabric is lighter than a kilim because it was used inside nomadic tents as a curtain or to cover household goods, and it was woven in strips on small looms, easily transportable during movements for grazing. It is very rare to find them on the market. This is part of my private collection.
It dates back to around 1920 and is dyed with vegetable substances; this one has a particularly intense turquoise color.
Perfect on a sofa, on a bed or as a curtain.
Measurements: cm. 313 x 255.
