LARGE MID-19TH CENTURY GILDED BRONZE AND CRYSTAL BASKET CHANDELIER

Beautiful large basket chandelier made of lost-wax cast gilded bronze, enriched with crystals. It consists of 24 lights, with arms in the shape of a stylized cornucopia, also in gilded bronze, and small crystal pendants. The structure is divided by two gilded bronze bands decorated with floral motifs and theatrical masks, recalling a classic taste and the Pompeian style. Crystal chains in the shape of almonds and cut crystals are connected to these bands. The upper part is decorated with a gilded bronze vegetal motif from which crystals hang. The chandelier is in good condition and, thanks to its elegance and refinement, can furnish any environment with class. French manufacture from the Napoleon III period, around the mid-19th century.
