Rare Empire period clock in ebonized wood of the Swedish watchmaker Anders Sandberg (1776-1829) from Norrköping. The watch features a gilt movement with a verge escapement, engraved and chiseled bridge. Signed "Sandberg Norrköping". The watch is contained in a large original ebonized wooden case with a gilded bronze ring. Original dial in gilded metal, mineral glasses. Movement recently serviced and lubricated. (October 2021) Complete with an old key for winding and adjustment. The wooden case measures 15.5x15.5. Height with ring 22.5. Dial diameter 6.5.
