France, Late 19th century Pendulum clock with cherub Gilded bronze and porcelain, Height 33.5 cm, width. 42.5 cm, depth. cm 16 Elegant clock supported by a gilt bronze base decorated with polychrome porcelain plaques and hand painted with floral themes. On the top, there is the sculpture of a winged cupid beating a drum with a wand inside which the clock itself is contained. The dial is in white enamel with Roman numerals for the hours, Lepine-style burnished steel hands, pendulum movement with metal suspension, hour and half chimes on a bell with a spacer wheel system.
