This elegant bouillotte table lamp was made in France in the early 19th century, in a classical style with Empire decorative elements. The structure is in finely chiseled and gilded bronze. With a circular base in the shape of an openwork basket, it has a turned stem with a small upper plate and three moving and curvilinear arms, which originate from a curl centered by a flower and end in the head of a fantastic animal. The bobeches, also in gilded bronze, are chiseled with palmette motifs. The upper socket has a floral decoration, and the two rods for adjusting the height of the lampshade and lights are in the shape of an arrow. The characteristic lampshade is made of painted tin.
Very ornamental, it is possible to display this lamp, on consoles, chests of drawers, tables and bedside tables, in any furnishing context, combined with antique or modern furniture.
The lamp is electrified, but the system requires an overhaul.
