Mother-of-pearl candelabras, Turkey, first quarter of the 20th century.bronze, mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, abalone, onyx.

The two candelabras, embellished with mother-of-pearl and lapis, are a very fine example of a Wunderkammer object. The shape and decorative motifs do not refer to known examples, suggesting the commission of a Western collector to a Turkish manufacture.
