Pair of lamps composed of a Chinese ceramic vase and gilt bronze frame, France 19th century Measurements: cm H 66 Price: private negotiation Object accompanied by a certificate of authenticity This particular pair of lamps was made with the use of ceramic vases, made in China in the 19th century and mounted, again in the 19th century, on a finely chiseled and gilded bronze base. The base takes up the stylistic dictates of the French rocaille, with rich scrolls and leafy elements that create the four supporting feet. These are linked together by flower garlands. Two reserves in chiseled and gilded bronze decorate the lower and upper circumference of the vases. The white-shaped vases
