The hook (scene of "life" in the great metropolis)
Mixed technique in pencil, charcoal, quill with ink and watercolor, colored tempera, wax pastels and white highlighting on cardboard, measures cm. 50 x 70, signature on the lower left and date 1966. The original composition stops the moment of coupling between one of the "available" women stationed near a bridge, and a potential customer in the car, inside the great metropolis that looms with the skyscrapers in the background, the human relationship is all in the contact between the concrete and uninhibited gaze of the woman, and the "interest" of the motorist who shakes hands nervously on the steering wheel.
