Large oil on canvas painting, accompanied by a contemporary carved and gilded wooden frame with pure gold leaf. The painting depicts a city along the river, with a mill in the center, and various characters intent on transporting objects, washing clothes, and fetching water. The work presents a remarkable pictorial and realistic quality, characterized by a rich use of colors and pictorial techniques. Roman school, probably attributable to the hand of the painter Filippo Napoletano (1587-1629), early 17th century.
