Oil on panel Dimensions: 42 × 29 cm (panel) – 55 × 40 cm (with frame) Period: 1700s Provenance: Private collection, Parma Description: Charming painting depicting a bacchanal of putti, executed on panel and attributable to the Flemish tradition, probably inspired by a model by Rubens or his circle. The scene shows a group of naked children engaged in a festive dance within a wooded landscape, with lively gestures and small musical instruments that recall the famous Baroque bacchic compositions. The soft and warm rendering of the flesh, the diffused luminosity and the circular movement of the composition betray a clear Rubensian taste. The surface has an antique patina that partially attenuates the brilliance of the colors: a professional cleaning would restore its full vitality. Perfect for embellishing both classic and modern environments. Code: 345 Additional info: The work is available in our exhibition space in Badia Polesine (RO) and is sold with a certificate of authenticity.
