"Girl with the warmer"
Girl with the warmer, a painting datable to the first quarter of the eighteenth century, by an unidentified artist who paints in the manner of Giacomo Francesco Cipper known as "il Todeschini". An evident prognathism of the chin characterizes the girl's face, but the painter dissolves it in a broad smile, without putting it in caricature; the nose, thick eyebrows and a tawny hair, as high as the wigs of aristocratic ladies, also contribute to making the physiognomy unique. The woman is portrayed from life, she is not a "type" of those used by the painters of beggars, while the gesture and the pleasure that the gesture communicates warm
