Pair of French portraits
Beautiful pair of oil on canvas paintings, French school, 18th century.
The two portraits depict Madame Thérèse de Choiseul, better known as Marie Thérèse Françoise de Choiseul-Stainville (1767–1794), who was a French noblewoman and Princess of Monaco as she married Prince Joseph I of Monaco, and Duke Jacques-Philippe de Choiseul, count, then Duke of Stainville, who was a French general and Marshal of France from 1783.
The frames are made of gilded wood with gold leaf.
