Painting of San Filippo Neri in adoration of the Virgin and Child
Painting with frame, of the Italian school made between the end of the 1700s and the beginning of the 1800s. The picture is a copy of the famous painting that Guido Reni made for the chapel of San Filippo Neri in the church of Santa Maria in Vallicella in Rome. The saint is depicted in priestly clothes and in the gesture of adoration towards the Virgin with child in the upper left, supported by some angels. Bottom left the iconography of the lily. Relined in the past, it bears the signs of some restorations. The nineteenth century frame is in gilded wood and needs minor restorations The canvas measures are 102 cm wide and 140 cm high
