The plate depicted in the image is an example of 18th-century Chinese export porcelain. Key features: Period and Style: This is a Chinese porcelain plate, produced during the Kangxi period (1662-1722) of the Qing dynasty. The decoration is clearly inspired by the Japanese Imari style, combining classic underglaze blue with overglaze orange (iron red) enamels and gold details. This type of porcelain was very popular in Europe at that time. Decoration: The plate features a central floral motif surrounded by cloud-shaped reserves (or "cartouches"), alternating with cobalt blue segments. The reserves contain further stylized floral decorations in shades of orange, blue and white. Provenance and use: These plates were produced in Jingdezhen, the main center of porcelain production in China, and were exported to Europe, mainly through the Dutch East India Company (VOC). The shape and richness of the decoration suggest that it was intended for display or as part of a luxury dining service. Condition: Perfect. Dimensions: diameter 27 cm A regular certificate of authenticity with photos is issued.
