This Imari porcelain plate is an authentic collector's item dating back to the Edo period, renowned for the excellence and refinement of its ceramic production. Its octagonal shape distinguishes it, along with the richness of its polychrome decoration, which combines classic underglaze cobalt blue painting with raised enamels in iron red, orange and gold.

Central panel: At the center of the plate is a floral composition in a vase, typical of the Imari decorative repertoire.
Border: The eight sections of the border are decorated with floral and naturalistic motifs, with four cloud-shaped panels (cartouches) containing further floral designs.
