Wooden netsuke depicting a wasp feeding on a finely carved eggplant. Excellent in the fine and complicated workmanship in the details of the legs and wings and protruding eyes. Large Himotoshi next to the engraved Tomokazu signature. Provenance: Japan Period: Edo XIX century. Dimensions: 1.8 x 7 x 1.9 cm. State of conservation: Very good
