Buddha of Unlimited Life in Spectacular Union statue of Amitayus Yab-Yum (Tib. Tsepame) In the Tantric tradition the "male" and the "female" are not people, but aspects of consciousness: the father, the method, represents the bodhicitta; mother, wisdom, represents the realization of emptiness through various levels of the mind.
