Beautiful pair of large Japanese vases, with an ovoid body, a long flared neck and a wavy rim, in Imari porcelain and finely hand-decorated. Rich polychrome floral decorations in shades of red and orange stand out against the cobalt blue background.The vase is mounted on a circular wooden base.
Japan, Meiji period (late 19th - early 20th century).
