Pair of graffito ceramic plates, Alessio Tasca, Nove, 1950s
Pair of ceramic plates made by Alessio Tasca (Nove, 1929–2020) in the 1950s, decorated with the graffito technique on colored enamel. The subjects are based on famous works of Venetian painting: Diana and Actaeon, by Giambattista Pittoni, and Venus and Adonis, by Paolo Veronese. The designs are obtained by incising the still fresh surface of the brick-colored enamel, letting the light background emerge in a refined graphic effect. Both plates bear an engraved signature and inscription on the back indicating the reference work. Diameter: 34 cm. Excellent condition. Contact us for more information. Worldwide shipping.
