Majolica bust depicting Francesca. Angelo Minghetti manufacture. Bologna: cm 25x22x16. Inscription on the base: "questi che mai da me non fia diviso la bocca mi bacio' tutto tremante" is a verse from Canto V of Dante Alighieri's Inferno, specifically where the story of Paolo and Francesca is narrated. The verse is part of Francesca's account, which describes the moment when Paolo, after reading the novel of Lancelot and Guinevere together with her, kissed her.
