This work is one of the satirical subjects, which in the empire era were produced in France to mock the "snooty Englishmen". in this case the satire takes aim at the affected knights, who are depicted in relief on the body of the vase, in ridiculous poses, while being unseated. on the lids the grip is depicted by a statuette of negro, according to the post-revolutionary dictates of the "Bon Negre". Perfect state of preservation.
