Porcelain cup with lid, first half of the 19th century
Elegant cup with lid in painted and gilded porcelain, attributable to the Imperial Manufactory of Vienna, datable to the first quarter of the 19th century. The surface features a refined acid green background, enriched by profiles and friezes in solid gold. The side handles are adorned with female masks in relief, also highlighted by gilding. On the front, there is a delicate monochrome allegorical scene, entitled L’Innocence, with a winged putto and a child tenderly kissing, accompanied by two doves, a symbol of purity and love. On the bottom, there are numbers (40, 120, 822) attributable to the turner, painter, and year of production. Condition: excellent, with minimal signs of wear on the gilding, no chips or restorations.
