Headboard panel. Polychrome embossed leather. Between the end of the fifteenth and the beginning of the sixteenth century, the use of the "Moroccan" was introduced in Venice: a wall ornament in embossed, painted and gilded goatskin. The Venetians were initially inspired by Persian models brought by the merchants from their travels and then gradually, refined, making the Renaissance ornaments their own.
