Francesco Terilli (Active between 1596 and 1633 in Feltre and Venice) Saint Peter bronze, H. 18 cm. Of the recent rediscovery of the Venetian carver and sculptor Francesco Terilli much of the credit goes to Giuseppe Biasuz, a historian particularly linked to Venetian topics and, among these, Terilli was one of his most loved. To the Feltre artist he dedicates countless essays and articles and three small monographs, the last of which from 1988 is particularly useful for the subdivision of the Terillian corpus from the workshop and followers, documenting a sufficient number of signed works or of certain commission.
