Pair of Polychrome Wood Angel Candelabra – 17th Century Magnificent pair of angel candelabra carved in wood and finely painted in polychrome, with well-preserved original gilding. The figures, depicted in a dynamic pose as they advance through the clouds, have richly crafted gilded wings and wear garments moved by soft and natural folds. Each angel holds an elegant, twisted cornucopia of plenty painted in blue, topped with fruit interspersed with leaves and surmounted by a candle holder. The faces, with serene and delicate expressions, testify to the quality of the carving and the high level of the workshop of origin.
