Rare musical instrument entirely hand-carved, found many years ago in Afghanistan by a great traveler.
It is a lute probably from Nakhi or Naxçivan, the ancient city that owes its origins to the Nakh tribe.
I have carefully dated it to the 18th century, but it is probably much older. cm. 53 x 20 width x depth 15 cm.
