Era: 1920s/30s of the twentieth century. Art Deco.
The Female Nude work, expressing sweetness and sensuality, is signed Ortis on the base,
a pseudonym of Amedeo Gennarelli, an Italian sculptor.
Amedeo Gennarelli (1881-1943), Italian sculptor, born in Naples,
but active in Paris where he moved in 1909.
He was a student of Francesco Jerace, an Italian painter and sculptor from Naples.
Known for his beautiful female nudes, which he creates using various materials: Marble, Terracotta, Bronze.
He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1913 until his death.
During his life, he received many medals and honors.
The sculpture is in good condition.
