Born in 1915 in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone, Italy), he passed away in 2000 in Venice (Italy).
He trained in Venice at the "Carmini" Art Institute and later enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where he was a student of Arturo Martini. After his studies, he returned to Pordenone and collaborated with the "Scala" factory, owned by Count Cattaneo. In the 1940s, he moved back to Venice, where he remained permanently until his death. Here, in the pre-war years, he opened his own furnace, "Mitri Ceramiche" (in Calle della Madonnella 5139), which he continued to operate even in the years following the conflict, when he became a teacher at the Art Institute of Venice.
