Herrmann Moroder important family sculptor within the sculptural tradition of Val Gardena. The bronze work has in its closed and compact form an incredible strength. Realized in wartime (dated on the back 1943) it emanates a sense of reality of the epoch, and of the moment that the mountain population was passing. Sculpture worked with great softness and experience. We find this genre in painting from the early 1900s (A. Egger Lienz, Alfons Walde, Ignaz Stolz and other important painters from Tyrol) but it is very difficult to find it in sculpture. Bronze, H 70 cm
