SCULPTURE "THE LOVING EMBRACE" 1960s 20TH CENTURY
Enchanting steccata terracotta sculpture depicting the embrace between two lovers. The woman, with her breasts exposed and kneeling, embraces and is embraced by the man in a passionate and romantic gesture. Both figures, half-length, convey intensity and love. The author, Teo Russo, a famous sculptor and painter, has engraved his signature and the date (1965) on the work. This splendid evocative sculpture recalls post-modern artistic currents, in particular Futurist art, and represents a symbol of love and passion. The sculpture is finally positioned on a rectangular wooden base.
