Lacquered wooden case with handles and locks
Eastern Europe, first half of the 20th century
Vintage wooden trunk with reinforcement slats on sides and lid,
used to transport clothing during long journeys or removals.
Paper has been placed inside so as not to ruin the contents
Externally a metal handle for each short side
useful to facilitate handling.
The edges and corners reinforced with nailed metal foil and
the wooden slats on the sides and the lid
made it solid and resistant to impacts.
A latch is missing and the locks are not working.
