“Pigeons on the evening”, oil on canvas cm. 46 x 66. The title indicated by the author on the back, together with the date 1955. The painting highlights the chromatic and tonal sensitivity of the Livorno painter Angelo Sirio Pellegrini (1908-97), acquired in post-Macchiaioli training and refined at the school of Ottone Rosai, of which he was a pupil; the long relationship with the master deeply marked the work of this refined artist, who uses common subjects to express his original, intimate style of poetry. The painting is signed lower left and is in excellent condition.
