Large tempera painting on canvas depicting two hounds in the act of drinking from a body of water in the woods. Skilled artist, soft brushstrokes, soft and suffused colors. Very suggestive bucolic painting, with a high decorative impact. Coming from an elegant estate; canvas originally applied to the wall and part of a boiserie in a large room (other paintings from the same collection are on sale). Good general condition (NO holes, NO tears), only small natural signs of aging. On the back it has traces of the old plaster. Italy, 2nd half of the 20th century. Dimensions: 118 x 100 h cm.
