Pair of Gio Ponti armchairs for ISA Bergamo. Refined 1950s armchairs with high backrests in gray velvet. Attributed to the designer Gio Ponti. Gio Ponti is one of the most important figures in architecture and design worldwide. He designed countless objects and buildings, founded the Domus publishing house, and was in charge of organizing the Milan Triennale. He collaborated with the biggest names in Italian design and manufacturing: Richard Ginori, Fontana Arte, Venini, Cassina, Isa Bergamo, and many others. His great career and the great value of his works are indescribable. ISA Bergamo was founded at the end of the 1940s in Ponte San Pietro. The company produced designs by Gio Ponti and advertised them in important magazines such as Domus. In the 1950s, ISA had become a household name and also worked with Veronesi, Morbelli, and Fiori.
