DESCRIPTION Cabriolè armchair in gilded wood of Louis XVI taste. The seat is composed of four inverted truncated cone-shaped legs with collar, band carved with ribbon, armrests with leaves and volutes and backrest that proposes the ribbon motif enriched in the central part by a carving of delicate bunches of roses. The seat of great refinement is certainly inspired by the furnishings produced for the French court. Both the model and the carving, so minute and delicate, were French prerogatives. The methodology of construction, the type of gilding instead present a technique of the following century. The armchair has therefore been produced in the French Louis XVI style, as mentioned, but n
