Splendid Louis XVI cabinet, Genoa late 18th century
Splendid center cabinet with two doors and vanet under the top in perfect Louis XVI style. The elegant furniture, with a particularly slender line, is completely veneered in purple rosewood arranged in a herringbone pattern with rosewood inlays embellishing all four sides. Legs in a single column with a square section protruding up to the top. This elegant constructive solution, but above all aesthetic, gave an extremely elegant interplay of volumes and was a typical habit of Genoese cabinetmakers.
