Chest - Gothic chest. (Dimensions 79.5 x 50.5 height 42.5cm) Provenance: Veneto Period: mid-15th century, 15th century In solid walnut, with characteristic dovetail joints clearly visible on the sides, the coffer, of contained proportions, is decorated on the front by elaborate windows with double opening mechanism. On the sides it is equipped with handles and plaques with perforated rosettes with slender phytomorphic motifs in a late Gothic style as on the front. The internal face of the lid, with hinges in the strip recessed into the wood, was decorated at the end by the unfortunately missing openwork medallions and traces of them remain.
